i was asking about a software recommendation for a code formatter or code reformatter. similar to clang-format: In centos-7, are there any reformatters for Python language?

but i didn't see any good tags for this question... other than code-beautification.

can we create anew tag for code-formatter or code-reformatter?

    What is wrong with code-beautification? Is there a difference? To me they seem to be about the same thing. Its description says: "Software that […] formats code […]"

  • Full ack with @unor here. "code beautification" in the end is "reformatting to make it look pretty", so it would be a sub-category of code-formatting (or code-reformatting). If both (or all 3) tags did exist, I'd even ask to have them merged (possibly leaving one of the latter two for a tag+synonym pair).
